Nerida Murphy has joined the STRATEGY family as the Australian Creative Partner.
An industry veteran of over 20 years, Murphy assumes this creative leadership position to bolster STRATEGY’s vision of creating world-class ideas to connect people with brands. The appointment comes as the company embarks on a more deeply integrated business model, which has won STRATEGY Australia work globally, fostering a borderless approach to working with clients and solving problems. Managing Partner Jussara Bierman is looking forward, with Murphy, to “challenge the status quo and drive inspired creative collaboration”. “The STRATEGY brand, our perspective and values are significant strengths as we look ahead in challenging times,” added Bierman. “It begins with our people: individuals who are creatively curious, never shy from a challenge, and want to help brands make a difference in the world — that’s Nerida.” Murphy arrives from FutureBrand, where she worked with diverse clients across aviation, financial, health, retail and F&B. “This is a great time to be joining STRATEGY,” said Murphy. “I’m excited about working together and partnering with clients to create meaningful work because I believe the most powerful brands are led by empathy and made for people.” Murphy, who holds a business degree and Master of Marketing, is passionate about continuing professional development: She has spoken at events and forums, sharing her knowledge and insights with industry peers. Murphy was also on the AGDA (Australian Graphic Design Association) Council 2016 through 2017 and has been an active member for over 18 years.
