Public Good as Gold
The 2018 Best Awards wrapped up with a gala evening in Auckland. Out of seven finalists, we were thrilled to walk away with two awards on the night.
Our Wellington studio were over the moon to be awarded a prestigious gold pin for the Drive Community Toolkit in the Public Good category. Created in partnership with NZTA & ACC, the Community Toolkit was a continuation of the Drive programme with the intention of helping make young driver education more accessible to communities in need. The judges commented that the "beautifully designed toolkit is a fantastic demonstration of identifying a root cause problem and tackling it by listening carefully to the communities who will use the final product.” Fraser Callaway and Matt Innes attended the event and were honoured to cross the stage and collect the spoils on behalf of the 20+ team members who worked tirelessly to bring it to life.
Strategy Christchurch walked away with a silver in the Design Communication category for their work with TEDxChristchurch. Working to the theme of ‘Unplug. Reconnect’ the aim was to cut out the noise of the digital world we live in and get attendees closer to the true essence of what TEDx is all about — ideas worth spreading from people to people. The event was a sell out and a huge success on the day.
