Christchurch Art Gallery – Bulletin 167

Voice of the arts

The Christchurch Art Gallery faced a lengthy closure after the earthquakes of 2011 and 2012. In the absence of the gallery itself, its quarterly publication The Bulletin has played a pivotal role in keeping the arts alive in the city.

While many spreads were about the earthquake’s impact on the arts we felt it was important to maintain a positive feel. To do this we continued to go bold with our editorial design, ensuring a contemporary aesthetic that wasn’t afraid to confront the issues head on.
